The Asbestos Street Fighters (ASF) 2011 project dubbed "Street Art versus the Deadly Dust" was concluded after the AFK Crew topped the voting and won the Asbestos Street Fighters Peoples Choice Award (ASFPCA) from a lot of 44 entries. AFK received the most number of votes, followed by GAK Crew, after 14 days of online voting.

Quebec's cash-strapped LAB Chrysotile asbestos mine declares bankruptcy.

MONTREAL - The head of one of Canada's last two remaining asbestos mines said Wednesday that declaring bankruptcy is the only way the cash-strapped operation has a chance of saving its workers' jobs. Simon Dupere, president and CEO of Quebec-based LAB Chrysotile, said in a telephone interview with The Canadian Press that he's confident many of the 350 jobs at the mine will be saved.
