City2Surf 2011



ON Sunday, 14 August runners from the University of Sydney participated in the City2Surf to raise awareness of ADFA.

Walkin' Promotions of Warriewood kindly donated the T-shirts to the runners. Our sincere thanks go to Walkin' Promotions and the
participants and many others who involved themselves and were so generous and helpful to us with donations and advice.

Kate Lomax was one among the team of runners who participated in the City2Surf. We thought that we should include this letter
from Kate because it goes straight to the heart of a young girl's sadness and sorrow for the loss of her beloved father and treasured
friend.

We here at ADFA have all seen similar letters. We get them all the time. At ADFA many have different names and different circumstances
but the end result is always as Kates. Suffering, frustration, bewilderment and loneliness seem to flood in and only those in Kate's position
who have experienced this torment can try to understand why. We applaud her desire to help others and appreciate the willingness to
share her thoughts with us.
